Donors of Color Action was formed to leverage high-net-worth donors of color as a force for creating systemic racial equity. Systemic change requires flexible funding to build power in the political space and to engage in advocacy work that creates change for and accountability to communities of color. Donors of Color Action will engage high net wealth donors of color, organizers, and philanthropic professionals to use both their resources and their influence in the political space where our communities are most often under-represented. This under-representation results in racial disparity through policy and decision-making and our interests will be reflected only when we can stand strong in those spaces.
